MCS School Picnic

June 7

ALL SCHOOL PICNIC

 

To:                          MCS children and siblings

MCS parents, friends, and relatives

MCS staff

 

Meet us at Wicker Memorial Park to celebrate the start of summer!!

 

All children must be accompanied and supervised by a responsible adult at all times.

 

Where:                   Wicker Memorial Park – North Township Highland, Ind.

Stand 1 and Stand 2 (east of playground and south of splash pad)

 

When:                     Friday, June 7, 2024 – NO RAIN DATE

 

Time:                      11:00 A.M. – 2:00 P.M.

SCHOOL IS NOT IN SESSION ON JUNE 7.

 

Menu:                     Provide your own lunch and beverage.

 

Amenities:              Playground, splash pad, walking trail, sand volleyball court, and restrooms.

 

Feel free to bring your own sports equipment.

Splash pad pass:     The splash pad is opened from 11:45 A.M. – 12:45 P.M. and

1:00 P.M. – 2:00 P.M.

 

Price per person per session is $2.00 township, $4.00 out of township, $5.00 out of state.  You will need to present your driver’s license as proof of residency.  If you live out of the township, find Mrs. Hill to assist you with the $2.00 admission.

 

Township residents may purchase their own pass at the splash pad.

 

WICKER MEMORIAL PARK RULES AND REGULATIONS

 

CHILDREN MUST BE SUPERVISED AT THE PLAYGROUND AND SPLASH PAD AT ALL TIMES.

 

No glass or bottles of any kind allowed on the grounds.

 

No fireworks allowed.

 

Animals and pets are not allowed in the playground.  Dogs are allowed on the exterior walking trail on a leash and in the dog run (membership required). Pitbulls are not permitted in the park or the walking trail.

 

No person shall kindle, build, maintain or use a fire other than in designated areas, without proper park permit.

 

No person shall park a vehicle any place within the park other than in designated parking facilities.

 

No person shall sell, possess, or distribute illegal narcotics in the park.

 

Firearms shall not be carried nor possessed in the park.

 

No person shall engage in any commercial or for-profit enterprise including but not limited to the offering of services, soliciting, selling, or peddling any personal property, liquids, or food for human consumption or distribute circulars or advertise, peddle or vend any goods, wares, or merchandise within the park, except upon special permit.

 

No person shall injure, deface, destroy, foul, or remove any part of the park, building, signage, equipment, or other property found therein.

 

All picnics held in the park, pavilion, stand, or shelters are subject to inspection, any violation of said ruled and regulations shall cause this permit to be revoked.

 

The speed limit for all vehicles within the park is set to 5 m.p.h.

 

No persons except park maintenance employees on duty or law enforcement officers shall enter restrooms set aside for the opposite sex.

 

No personal charcoal grills allowed in park.  You may bring gas grills only, if permit is acquired.

 

Loud music and vulgarities in music is strictly prohibited.

 

The permit for MCS does not authorize alcoholic beverages, sound amplification systems, any electrical motorized equipment, or temporary structures.

 

Proper dress attire is necessary to enter the park.  No backwards hats.  Skirts and pants must be worn around the waist.  Shirts must be worn at all times.

 

Wicker Memorial Park and North Township will not assume responsibility for lost or damaged property.

 

MCS and its members agreed to release the liability of injury to Wicker Memorial Park, North Township of Lake County, Indiana, and its employees caused through said use of the facilities.

 

There will be no parking in the grass. Guests will have to walk to the rental area from parking lots. Plan accordingly.

 

Picnic tables inside the Pavilion, Breezeway, and Stand Buildings must remain inside the buildings at all times.

 

This park and its facilities belong to the residents of the North Township. Please treat them accordingly.
