The before and after school program is open to any of our early childhood, kindergarten, and elementary students.  The program is available on a daily or part-time basis. We do recommend enrollment for a minimum of two days per week in order for the student to benefit socially and to feel a part of the group.

If you have not already enrolled your child in the before and/or after school program and need a Before and After School Program Tuition Agreement, please contact the school office.  YOU MUST NOTIFY THE SCHOOL AT MORNING ARRIVAL IF YOUR CHILD IS STAYING FOR THE AFTER SCHOOL PROGRAM.

REMINDERS

1.        Please make sure that your child’s lead teacher is aware of any allergies, dietary restrictions, or any important changes in your child’s life over the summer.

2.        LABEL YOUR CHILD’S COATS, SWEATERS, HATS, MITTENS, BOOTS, BACKPACK, AND OTHER PERSONAL ITEMS WITH FIRST NAME AND LAST INITIAL.  Labeled items are “found”.  Unlabeled items are “lost” and given to shelters throughout the school year.

3.        Dress your child in neat, appropriate, comfortable, easy to manipulate clothing. Shorts are acceptable.  Only shoes with backs may be worn at school.  Open-toe sandals, “crocs”, and footwear with heels over one inch are NOT appropriate as school shoes and SHOULD NOT be worn at school.

Remember that it can be difficult to remove paint or markers from clothing.  You may not want to send your child to school in “good clothes”.

4.        Elementary, kindergarten, and after school program students will go out for recess unless it is raining or severely cold. PLEASE MAKE SURE THAT YOUR CHILD DRESSES APPROPRIATELY FOR THE WEATHER.

5.        Children who stay for lunch will need a complete lunch in a REGULAR SIZED lunch box with your child’s name by the handle.  Milk service for lunch is available.  Contact the school office if you need an order form. “Fast food” lunches may not be brought in for lunch.

6.        Toddler, early childhood, and kindergarten students will need a plastic shoe box containing a change of clothing (underwear, socks, shirt, slacks).  Please send this in on the FIRST day of school.  Label each article with your child’s first name and last initial.  Please IMMEDIATELY replace any soiled article which is sent home so that there will always be clean clothing for your child in case of spills or “accidents”.

7.        In an effort to maintain good air circulation, classrooms may have a window open and an
iWave purifying device with fan operating during the school day.  The rooms may be cool, and you may want to have a sweater/sweatshirt at school for your child.

8.        Read the arrival/dismissal procedures carefully.  MAKE SURE THAT ALL DRIVERS WHO DISMISS OR PICKUP STUDENTS ARE FAMILIAR WITH THIS PROCEDURE. Click here for the Arrival/Dismissal Procedures.

Remember, there are special arrival/departure times during phase-in for toddler and early childhood students.  After phase-in, the following times will be in effect:
