DESCRIPTION:ALL SCHOOL PICNIC \n  \nTo:  MCS children and siblings\, MCS parents\, friends\, relatives\, and MCS staff \n  \nMeet us at Wicker Memorial Park to celebrate the start of summer!! \n  \nAll children must be accompanied and supervised by a responsible adult at all times. \n  \nWhere:                   Wicker Memorial Park – North Township Highland\, Ind. \nStand 1 and Stand 2 (east of playground and south of splash pad) \n  \nWhen:                     Friday\, June 7\, 2024 – NO RAIN DATE \n  \nTime:                      11:00 A.M. – 2:00 P.M. \nSCHOOL IS NOT IN SESSION ON JUNE 7. \n  \nMenu:                     Provide your own lunch and beverage. \n  \nAmenities:              Playground\, splash pad\, walking trail\, sand volleyball court\, and restrooms. \n  \nFeel free to bring your own sports equipment. \n  \nSee back for Wicker Memorial Park Rules and Regulations. \n  \n  \nSplash pad pass:     The splash pad is opened from 11:45 A.M. – 12:45 P.M. and \n1:00 P.M. – 2:00 P.M. \n  \nPrice per person per session is $2.00 township\, $4.00 out of township\, $5.00 out of state.  You will need to present your driver’s license as proof of residency.  If you live out of the township\, find Mrs. Hill to assist you with the $2.00 admission. \n  \nTownship residents may purchase their own pass at the splash pad. \n  \nWICKER MEMORIAL PARK RULES AND REGULATIONS \nCHILDREN MUST BE SUPERVISED AT THE PLAYGROUND AND SPLASH PAD AT ALL TIMES. \n  \nNo glass or bottles of any kind allowed on the grounds. \n  \nNo fireworks allowed. \n  \nAnimals and pets are not allowed in the playground.  Dogs are allowed on the exterior walking trail on a leash and in the dog run (membership required). Pitbulls are not permitted in the park or the walking trail. \n  \nNo person shall kindle\, build\, maintain or use a fire other than in designated areas\, without proper park permit. \n  \nNo person shall park a vehicle any place within the park other than in designated parking facilities. \n  \nNo person shall sell\, possess\, or distribute illegal narcotics in the park. \n  \nFirearms shall not be carried nor possessed in the park. \n  \nNo person shall engage in any commercial or for-profit enterprise including but not limited to the offering of services\, soliciting\, selling\, or peddling any personal property\, liquids\, or food for human consumption or distribute circulars or advertise\, peddle or vend any goods\, wares\, or merchandise within the park\, except upon special permit. \n  \nNo person shall injure\, deface\, destroy\, foul\, or remove any part of the park\, building\, signage\, equipment\, or other property found therein. \n  \nAll picnics held in the park\, pavilion\, stand\, or shelters are subject to inspection\, any violation of said ruled and regulations shall cause this permit to be revoked. \n  \nThe speed limit for all vehicles within the park is set to 5 m.p.h. \n  \nNo persons except park maintenance employees on duty or law enforcement officers shall enter restrooms set aside for the opposite sex. \n  \nNo personal charcoal grills allowed in park.  You may bring gas grills only\, if permit is acquired. \n  \nLoud music and vulgarities in music is strictly prohibited. \n  \nThe permit for MCS does not authorize alcoholic beverages\, sound amplification systems\, any electrical motorized equipment\, or temporary structures. \n  \nProper dress attire is necessary to enter the park.  No backwards hats.  Skirts and pants must be worn around the waist.  Shirts must be worn at all times. \n  \nWicker Memorial Park and North Township will not assume responsibility for lost or damaged property. \n  \nMCS and its members agreed to release the liability of injury to Wicker Memorial Park\, North Township of Lake County\, Indiana\, and its employees caused through said use of the facilities. \n  \nThere will be no parking in the grass. Guests will have to walk to the rental area from parking lots. Plan accordingly. \n  \nPicnic tables inside the Pavilion\, Breezeway\, and Stand Buildings must remain inside the buildings at all times. \n  \nThis park and its facilities belong to the residents of the North Township. Please treat them accordingly.

For\nthis reason\, we have limited the days for these visits to SCHEDULED\nDATES AND TIMES. We know that you will understand\, and we thank you\nfor your cooperation. A family member or family friend is welcome to come\nto school to visit the classroom\, work with your child\, and meet classmates\nand friends. We hope that you make this a “special” day for your child.\nPlease note the following: \nToddler visitors are invited to visit between 8:45 A.M. and 11:00 A.M. We\nrecommend that this special visit be no longer than one-half hour and that\ntoddlers leave with their special visitor since separation at this age can be\ndifficult. \nVisitors for early childhood and/or kindergarten students are invited to visit\nbetween 8:45 A.M. and 11:00 A.M. We recommend that these visits be no\nlonger than one hour. Please be sure to notify the office if the special visitor\nwill be taking your child home. \nElementary visitors are invited to visit between 1:00 P.M. and 3:00 P.M.\nVisitors may pick up the student for lunch at 11:30 A.M. and return for the\nstart of the afternoon class at 1:00 P.M.
