COVID INFORMATION

COVID INFORMATION

Click here for a list of symptoms.

Please note MCS is requiring 48 hours fever-free without fever reducing medication and with improvement of respiratory symptoms before returning to school.

MCS has a designated space for students who present COVID–19 symptoms.

If a student presents a symptom at school, the child will be removed from the classroom and placed in isolation in the designated space. The parent will be contacted to discuss the present symptom(s).

Make sure MCS always has current contact information.

Self/Parent administered rapid antigen tests results are acceptable.

We are all part of our MCS community. There may be members of our MCS community that may request face masks be worn in their classrooms.

FACE MASKS

Please notify your classroom teacher if you prefer that your child wear a face mask during class time. Please send extra face masks for your children.

HAND WASHING

Regular hand washing is one of the best ways to remove germs and remain healthy. It also helps prevent spreading germs to others.  Students will be encouraged to wash their hands often.

CLASSROOM MATERIALS

Classroom materials will be sanitized on regular basis.

LUNCH, SNACK, HYDRATION

Students who stay for lunch will need a complete lunch in a regular sized lunch box with your child’s name by the handle.

See classroom snacks in SCHOOL POLICIES for classroom snack procedures for your child’s classroom.

Kindergarten students and early childhood students who stay for lunch will need an additional afternoon snack each day.

Elementary students staying after 3:30 P.M. will need an after-school snack.

Water fountains will be used this school year.

Elementary students may bring a refillable water bottle to school for hydration throughout the day.  Label the water bottle with your child’s first name and last initial.
